Green Cart Checkout: one tree per card in store, one tree per online order
In store, retailers hand out “1 card = 1 tree” cards bought in batches: every scratched card plants a tree in its holder's name. Online, your customer contributes €2.00 in one click at checkout: a tree is planted and their certificate arrives by e-mail.

Use case 1 · Retailers, shops and works councils
In store, hand out the “1 card = 1 tree” card
A scratch card, given at the till, at reception or slipped into a parcel. The holder enters their code: a tree is funded and ordered with a planting reference belonging to that card alone, and they receive a certificate in their own name. Nothing to install — not on your tills, not on your site.
- Price: €2.50 excl. VAT per card, paid by the retailer on a purchase order — a cheaper “codes only” format exists on request.
- Volumes: from 200 cards for a works council to 40,000 for a retail chain.
- No unsold stock: what you hand out is validated within thirty days; what you do not hand out, you send back.

Use case 2 · Your online store
1 order = 1 tree planted
A simple, verifiable contribution, with proof after the purchase: Green Cart Checkout adds a “Plant a tree” line to the checkout page of your Shopify, WooCommerce or PrestaShop store — your customer contributes €2.00 in one click, a tree is planted by a partner reforestation project, and they receive their certificate by e-mail.
The principle fits in one line: every order paid with the contribution funds the planting of one tree. No slider, no clever arithmetic, no small print.
- Contribution: €2.00 per order, paid by your customer — one price, identical for every store.
- What it funds: the planting of one tree, with a partner reforestation project; the contribution also covers collection costs and the platform.
- Traceability: every planting receives a unique, verifiable reference, repeated on the customer's certificate.
- Proof: a PDF contribution certificate e-mailed after payment.
This contribution is voluntary and transparent: it funds tree planting, nothing else, and lends your store no unverifiable environmental promise. That is precisely what makes it defensible — one tree, one reference, one absolute amount.
The journey, end to end
What actually happens, with every order
Four moments, in order. None of them is left to you.
-
Your customer ticks the box, as they pay
A “Plant a tree” line appears under their basket, already ticked. They add €2.00 — one click, not a form. If they untick it, their order goes through exactly as before.
-
The tree is ordered from the project
As soon as payment is taken, the planting is requested from our operator, with the partner reforestation project. Planting itself follows the project's agronomic calendar — we promise no date.
-
Their certificate goes out by e-mail
A named PDF, with the project supported, its country, and the planting reference issued by the operator. Verifiable: that is what separates proof from a logo.
-
You track everything from your area
Trees ordered, certificates sent, monthly invoice for the contributions collected. Nothing to reconcile by hand, nothing to re-enter.
The customer experience
What your customers see at checkout
In production, the checkout extension adds a “Plant a tree” line under the basket items, already ticked. Once the order is paid, planting is triggered automatically: the customer has nothing to do, and their certificate goes out by e-mail.
- A “Plant a tree” block built into the Shopify, WooCommerce or PrestaShop checkout page.
- Ticked by default, and the customer can untick it.
- Planting triggered automatically once the order is paid.
- A PDF contribution certificate e-mailed after payment, carrying the planting reference.
- The technical product hidden from your catalogue.
- Merchant dashboard: trees planted, certificates, invoicing.
- A shareable public impact page for your store.
- Interface in 6 languages: French, English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian.

On the merchant side
Installation takes two minutes, on Shopify as on WooCommerce or PrestaShop. On Shopify: you enter your store domain (for example my-store.myshopify.com), you authorise the app, then you finish the setup — hiding the technical product in your theme, and placing the “Plant a tree” block on your cart page (on every Shopify plan, not only Plus). On WooCommerce and on PrestaShop: you download the extension, you paste the API key you were given, and the line appears on your cart.
