- 0 €in monthly subscription
- €2.00paid by the customer
- 1 treeper paid order
- 2 minto install the plugin
Before you start
- A WordPress site with the WooCommerce plugin installed and active.
- Your Green Cart API key, in the form
gcc_live_…, provided with your account.
This key is shown in clear only once: keep it somewhere safe. Lost it? Write to contact@greencartcheckout.com.
Installation in three steps
- Download the plugin: woocommerce-plugin.zip.
- Install it in WordPress: Plugins menu, "Add New Plugin", "Upload Plugin", pick the downloaded file, then click "Activate".
- Paste your API key: in the plugin settings (WooCommerce, Green Cart tab), paste the
gcc_live_…key and save. The plugin checks the connection straight away and links your store: the "Plant a tree" line appears on your checkout page.
What happens on each order
- Contribution: €2.00 per order, added at checkout — ticked by default, and the customer can untick it.
- Planting: once the order is paid, a tree planting is triggered automatically with the partner reforestation project, carrying a unique and verifiable reference.
- Proof: the customer receives their PDF contribution certificate by email, carrying the reference of their planting.
What the contribution covers
Every order with a contribution funds the planting of one tree, tied to a partner reforestation project. The contribution also covers collection fees and the platform, invoiced monthly to the merchant: the breakdown is on the pricing page.
