“1 card = 1 tree” cards to give to your customers

Who this offer is for

Any organisation that wants to make a tangible gesture towards real people, without setting up a project or plugging anything in:

• Shops and retail chains: the card is given at the till, never sold to the customer.
• Works councils: a tree on top of the year-end voucher, one card per employee.
• Brands and distance sellers: the card slips into the parcel, without touching the checkout funnel.
• Agencies and promotional-goods resellers: the batch is resold under your own brand, with the wording kit.

How it works, in four stages

1. Payment — you order, you pay. Nothing starts before payment is received: the codes are unique and the back of the card carries your logo, so it is a bespoke print run.
2. Delivery at D+15 — printing then delivery within fifteen days, till displays included. The delivery date opens the thirty-day window.
3. Thirty-day window — you hand the cards out. For every card activated, a tree is funded and ordered straight away, with a planting reference belonging to that card alone, and the named certificate goes out by e-mail.
4. Sweep at D+30 — thirty days after delivery, every card neither activated nor returned is validated individually, each with its own reference. A later activation simply attaches the holder's name to the reference already issued.

In other words: every card you hand out gives a tree, whether the holder scratches it or not.

What the card looks like, precisely

Nothing is printed in advance: every copy comes off the press with your batch, in your brand. Here is the exact mock-up — front and back, as it goes to the printer:

We do not publish a photograph of the finished product: nothing is printed in advance, copies come off the press with your batch and carry your brand. In place of an image, here is the exact specification — the one that goes to the printer, and that you receive as a template if you choose the “You print” format.

The back also carries, in legible type, the eight notices your legal team will want to read: what to do, the nature of the scheme, the absence of monetary value, the contribution sentence with no environmental claim, the planting reference viewable in the register, the use made of the e-mail address and the data controller, the publisher, and the space reserved for your brand. The full template comes with the purchase order.

What you can check before signing

You will find no retailer logo, no testimonial and no results figure on this page: the offer is new and we have no client to name. Writing one anyway would be the first thing your internal controls would take apart. Instead, here are four things a third party can go and look at today, without us and without an appointment.

• The specimen certificate — open the PDF a card holder will receive, in its final layout. It carries the line “demonstration copy: this reference is linked to no planting”, so a specimen can never pass for proof of planting.
• The public batch register — it is online, with no password: every delivered batch appears with the retailer, the cards in circulation, the trees ordered, the delivery date and the state of its thirty-day window. Yours will appear the same way.
• The operator is named — plantings are ordered from DigitalHumani, which issues the reference repeated on every certificate. Its name is on the document: the holder can have their reference checked with the operator, not only with us.
• The holder's journey is open — the activation page is public. Before ordering, you can read the exact form your customer will fill in and everything asked of them: a code, a name, an e-mail address. Nothing else.

Four formats, four prices — all paid by the retailer

Reference entry batch: 1,000 cards = €2,500.00 excl. VAT. For a works council of 200 employees, budget €420.00 excl. VAT in codes only. Additional displays: €5.00 excl. VAT each. 20% VAT on top.

These amounts are paid by your organisation, on a purchase order, when the batch is ordered. The card holder never pays anything: the card is given to them, has no monetary value and cannot be topped up.

What you do not hand out, you send back

What the person you give the card to receives

• They scratch the silver panel on the back and enter their twelve-character code on the site's activation page.
• A tree is funded and ordered from our reforestation operator, with a planting reference belonging to that card alone.
• They receive a named certificate by e-mail, as a PDF, carrying that reference.
• Their e-mail address is used for that send alone: it is never passed on to you, and no personal data comes back to you.

Planting then follows our operator's calendar, which confirms plantings through periodic reports. Batch by batch, the cards in circulation and the trees ordered are published in the public batch register.

What you may say about it

Every batch comes with a wording kit: the sentences you may use on your posters, your social feeds and your annual report — of the kind “for every card handed out, a tree is planted”, or “in 2026 our chain contributed to the planting of X trees” — and those that French decree 2022-539 and European directive 2024/825 rule out.

That kit is not one more constraint: it is the legal net that keeps you from unintentional greenwashing, and compliance of the wording is written into the purchase order. The scheme gives rise to no tax receipt: buying a batch is a communication expense, deductible under ordinary law.
